Your participation in #todaysheroes, my way of celebrating Women’s History Month, has been incredibly heartening.

Throughout the month I sought to provide small pieces of themed information that would let us get to know the Democratic Women of the Senate and the House better.

The GOP and Trump’s agenda is cruel and it feels like we are being hit daily with a firehose of draconian bills, illegal executive orders, and backdoor dealings; it is hard to keep up! But keep up we must, Democracy is now our’s to protect.

The lesson I have learned:

I will not wait for a some mythical savior! We can not wait for another star like Obama, we must be our own stars!

We have to step up to the plate and advocate for the change we long for in politics!

• Make a call daily to your House or Senate member: 5 Calls.
• Join a local Indivisible group
• Get more involved with your local Democrats
• Get more involved in local politics, period
• Give money to organizations that do great work
• Encourage everyone in your community to register AND vote
• Take time off from this insanity to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

Stay focused on the Resources page as it continues to build. There are so many amazing groups doing exciting work. We won our first legislative battle: ACA/OBAMACARE is the law of the land!
